Late Mrs. Patience Umo Eno.

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council has commiserated with Governor Umo Eno over the death of his wife, Patience.
A condolence message on Friday, signed by the State Chairman, Comrade Amos Etuk and Secretary, Comrade Dominic Akpan described the Late Mrs Patience Umo Eno as an extraordinary woman who touched countless lives through her pet project, “Golden Initiative For All” (GIFA), and a devout Christian who worked with selfless commitment in God’s vineyard.
‘Her presence will be deeply missed, but her impact on the lives of many will never be forgotten. We are grateful for her life and the positive influence she had in our State,’ the Union said in the statement.
While appreciating God for the Christ-like life Mrs. Eno led, the Union assured the Governor and Akwa First Family of its prayers in their grief.
Furthermore, the Union prayed to the Almighty God to strengthen the Governor to bear the immense loss, and grant the deceased eternal repose of her soul.
Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State Chapter, has announced the suspension of its local government campaign, following the untimely demise of Her Excellency, Mrs Eno.
A statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Edwin Ebiese, said “this devastating news has left our party, and indeed the entire state, in a state of mourning.
“As we struggle to come to terms with this immense loss, we are compelled to pause our campaign activities as a mark of respect for the departed First Lady.
“We regret any inconvenience this suspension may cause and appreciate the understanding of our supporters and the general public during this difficult time”.
The party extended its “heartfelt condolences to His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State and his immediate family, the government, and people of Akwa Ibom State. May God grant the family of the deceased and our state the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss”.
