President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
OPINION

Since May 29, 2023 when Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu was sworn in as the President of Nigeria, Nigerians have known peace and progress. He is the best president Nigeria has ever had dating back to 1960. His one and five months in office have surpassed what past leaders achieved before May 29, 2023.
Tinubu through his humane policies and visionary programmes has rekindled peace and hope and Nigerians now live in a state of affluence and enjoyment unlike the 33 years of despondency.
Indeed in the history of Nigeria, we have never had it so good.
Check out the roads. One can now drive through our federal highways with his two eyes closed or with a glass of water on the dashboard yet it will not spill. No wonder mechanics in Nigeria are complaining of no work as motorists rarely visit the mechanics’ workshop again. Security issues like kidnapping, banditry, robbery and few other vices are at the lowest ebb if not gone completely.
The hospitals are well equipped with the state of the art facilities. Our doctors and other medical professionals no longer go abroad again for greener pastures. The japa syndrome is now a thing of the past. Little wonder our president, political leaders and some Nigerians who can afford it, no longer go abroad again for medical treatment. Our university teaching hospitals are now well funded and equipped to the extent that they now generate so much revenue and even remit almost 50 percent of what they generate to the federal purse as internally generated revenue. The patients now enjoy pocket friendly bills and mosquito free hospital Wards. Kudos to President Tinubu!
Electricity or power supply is now 24/7 in Nigeria after many years of struggling. All thanks to the visionary leadership of President Tinubu.
All our institutions like INEC are now working excellently well. The outcome of the Edo governorship election is a clear example.
The Federal Universities are well funded and well equipped. The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and others do not have course to complain again. In fact soon it is envisaged that the politicians will take over the teaching jobs in our universities considering the humongous salaries lecturers and others are getting plus juicy packages for research. While the lecturers, the Civil Society Organizations and others who are always complaining will take over the less lucrative political offices.
Then the almighty petrol. Nigerians no longer queue endlessly searching for petrol. The pump price now is the cheapest in the world. After all our neighbours no longer do brisk business with our petrol. The long awaited Dangote Refinery is here and the country is flooded with cheap petrol.
Prices of food stuff and other things have not gone up to the desired level yet we are complaining. We should just relax because prices of things will soon climb to the desired level after that is affordable to all after all we are not even paying taxes.
In the aftermath of the Edo election, President Tinubu through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga,
revealed that Nigerians are in support of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) as “The victory testified to the people’s support for the ruling party, its progressive ideals, its economic reengineering programme and its commitment to improving the lives of Nigerians”.
Indeed, very “progressive ideals (and) its economic reengineering programmes” as reflected above.
President Tinubu is very correct and he has promised that the Edo experience will be replicated in order states that off season elections will hold soon. Of course with the very effective INEC, efficient security agencies and excellent performance of the President Tinubu’s government, this is possible. What we need is a one party state with APC in control considering its mouth watering performance.
President Tinubu and some political leaders have asked Nigerians to be patient with the government. But we wonder what patience when in just one year in office we are enjoying so much. Bravo Emilokan!
Oooh… sorry Nigerians, I was day dreaming. But the Federal Government should read in between the lines and do the needful. A stitch in time saves nine.
Pillar Today wishes happy and enjoyment filled, smiling Nigerians a huge Happy Independence!!
