The Management of the University of Calabar has approved a two-step salary increment for the Managing Director/CEO of Unical Printing and Publishing Press Ltd Dr Mathias Sunday.
A commendation letter dated August 13, 2025, signed by the University Registrar, Dr. Mrs. Chukwuka Icha, and made available to PillarToday by the Public Relation Unit of the University, said the increment was effective September 2025.
Mrs Icha noted that the gesture was in recognition of Dr Sunday’s outstanding service delivery and was meant to encourage him to continue striving for excellence.
Describing the gesture as a token of appreciation, the University Registrar said Dr Sunday’s performance was ‘exceptional’ and lauded his “dedication, and consistent delivery of excellent results.”
The University noted that Dr. Sunday’s commitment, professionalism, and positive attitude had “significantly contributed to the progress of the Unical Printing Press and the University as a whole.”
