…Ibokete Ibas Appointed Administrator

Latest development on the supremacy battle between Gov Simi Fubara of River State and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, may have accurately fulfilled Archbishop Emmah Isong’s prophecy on the matter.
Recall that the Archbishop had on January 1, 2025, in his Church, City of Testimonies, Ikot Eneobong, Calabar prophesied that: “There will be more political tensions in Rivers State, but this time around, it will be former governors fighting former governors.”
In fulfilment of the prophecy, the crisis had dragged in former governor Peter Odili, who the Rivers State House of Assembly vowed to probe after 18 years of leaving office.
Odili is believed to support Fubara while the House of Assembly is said to be fiercely loyal to former gov Wike who is the immediate past governor of the State thereby effectively pitching former governor Wike against former governor Odili.
Archbishop Isong, who is the immediate past National Publicity Secretary of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) after eight years of dedicated service, in the prophecy said, “for Fubara, battle will be taken from his head. It will become battle of the titans. This means that Rivers battle is not yet over but God shall give victory”.
When asked for comments following the fulfillment of his prophecy, the clergy simply said, “the prophesy says….God has taken over the battle” noting that “we need to always watch and pray.”
Archbishop Isong who is also the Executive Director, Remedy for Victims of Religious Persecution and Discrimination Initiative as well as the International President of Christian Central Chapel Int’l, had several prophecies that fulfilled over the years like the case of Ebola virus and COVID-19 that came to pass accurately.
The crisis, which has already witnessed unprecedented violence, took another dimension on Tuesday when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu imposed a state of emergency on Rivers for an initial period of six months.
The president also appointed an administrator, Vice Admiral Ibokette Ibas, (Rtd) to run the affairs of the State for six months. He suspended both Gov Fubara and the State House of Assembly.
Giving reasons for the declaration of state of emergency, President Tinubu, said “The latest security reports made available to me show that between yesterday and today, there have been disturbing incidents of vandalization of pipelines by some militant without the governor taking any action to curtail them.
“I have, of course given stern order to the security agencies to ensure safety of lives of the good people of Rivers State and the oil pipelines.
“With all these and many more, no good and responsible President will standby and allow the grave situation to continue without taking remedial steps prescribed by the Constitution to address the situation in the state, which no doubt requires extraordinary measures to restore good governance, peace, order and security.”
