The Chairman, House Committee on Special Projects, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Religious Matters, Hon Samuel Neji Abang has restated the 10th Assembly’s commitment to ensuring a conducive environment for businesses to thrive in the State.
Hon Abang who represents Ikom 1 State Constituency, gave the assurance recently during the Committee’s oversight visit to the Headquarters of Faith Plant Global Services, Calabar.
The Commitee Chairman, lauded the company for it’s contributions to Community Development, Schools Projects, Sponsorships amongst others.
” I congratulate you for what you are doing in the State. I want to assure you of our support. The House of Assembly is committed to ensuring that we support the State Government to improve the economic climate of our state. ” Abang noted.
In seperate remarks, other Members of the Commitee, including the Deputy Chairman, Hon Omang Omang (Bekwara) Hon Martins Achadu (Yala 2) and Hon Bassey Bassey (Akpabuyo) all commended Faith Plant Global Services for recording significant milestones and for it’s CSR initiatives.
They urged the MD to continue to carry out more CSR activities for the betterment of it’s host communities.
On his part, the Managing Director (MD) of the Company, Mr Michael Asuquo highlighted several CSR initiatives that his company has carried out across the State.
“We do not shy away from responsibility. We have been reaching out as far back as 2020, we have built bus stops, equiped hospitals, and rehabilitated roads including the Calabar-Itu road.” Asuquo said.
The MD commended Governor Bassey Edet Otu on his achievements in all sectors of the State including security and also for encouraging local content in project implementation.
