Aides to Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, under the aegis of the College of Personal Aides to the Governor (COPA) in Uyo Local Government Area, have come together to uphold fairness and accessibility in social intervention initiatives spanning across the 14 wards in Uyo.
This united effort aims to ensure that aid reaches all sectors of the community equitably.
The Aides said this during a meeting on Tuesday in Uyo, emphasizing the need for unity among themselves to effectively support the governor’s vision for the state.
They outlined a robust agenda, including a ward-to-ward tour to engage with grassroots members, identify their needs, and promote the ARISE Agenda as the tour is scheduled to commence soon, and will take the entire group to various wards in Uyo, where they will interact with grassroots members to strengthen the bond of unity for victory ahead.
The Aides unanimously unveiled Ime Uwah, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entrepreneurial Development, as Dean to lead COPA’s affairs in Uyo, acknowledging his capacity and willingness to work tirelessly to promote the ARISE Agenda and support the governor’s rural development initiatives.
While reaffirming their support for Uwah, the Aides noted his loyalty to the system and ability to lead COPA, maintaining the peaceful structure laid by Uyo’s political leaders. This aligns with the Arise Agenda’s goals of promoting unity, peace, and development in the State.
In his response, Uwah expressed his passion for supporting the government’s success, emphasizing the need to promote the Governor’s activities and make their presence felt at the grassroots level. He highlighted Governor Umo Eno’s commitment to keeping his promises, evident in the ongoing projects and initiatives.
Other Aides nominated to serve in various capacities, include; Mr. Godwin Edet as Secretary, Mr. Ekemini James, Publicity Secretary, and Lady Nse Asuquo as Director of Welfare.
