The distribution of the fertilizers
The House of Representatives Member for Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency, Rep. Bassey Akiba, has distributed fertilizers to hundreds of farmers in Bacoco Community, in Calabar Municipality.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the farmers received the much-needed support to advance their agricultural endeavours.
Rep. Akiba in a release from, The Bridge Media, on Wednesday, April 23, emphasized the importance of agriculture in driving economic growth and improving food security, saying, “we will continue to support the livelihoods of our people in line with our Livelihood Support Programme”.
The visibly elated farmers expressed their gratitude for the support received, highlighting how the fertilizers would significantly improve their farming activities. In their words: “These inputs will go a long way in helping us achieve better yields and improve our livelihoods”.
This latest intervention is a testament to Rep. Akiba’s unyielding determination to drive people-oriented initiatives that alleviate and elevate lives and livelihoods. With this, Rep. Bassey Akiba has completed the second phase of fertilizer distribution in all the wards in Calabar Municipality.
