Member representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani Federal Constituency, Rep. Bassey Akiba, has charged Muslims to imbibe the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that Ramadan exemplifies.
In a message to mark the celebration, Akiba said, “as the holy month of Ramadan comes to a close and we gather to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, I am delighted to extend my warmest greetings to our Muslim brothers and sisters.
“Eid signifies not just the end of fasting, but also the beginning of a newfound sense of spiritual growth and renewal.
“Let us imbibe the values of compassion, kindness, and generosity that Ramadan exemplifies”.
He encouraged everyone “to reach out to one another, to offer kindness and support, particularly to those in need.
“To our Muslim Ummah, I celebrate with you today. May your prayers be accepted, your fasts rewarded, and your hearts filled with joy”.
