Suspected members of the Biafra Nations League, (BnL), have killed three Cameroonian Gendarmes in Atabong East of Bakassi Peninsula, collecting their rifles.
Reports said the BnL boys numbering five had in a surprise move on Sunday, August 18, attacked overwhelmed three Cameroonian Gendarmes at the market hitting them hard with weapons.
Top sources close to the separatists said one of them who quickly snatched a gun shot the three officers and ran away with the guns.
Separatists groups especially armed forces loyal to the BnL have over time been troubling the Bakassi Peninsula making business activities unsafe the Gulf of Guinea.
Operational Coordinator of BnL, Henry Edet confirmed the incident and declined further comments.
